Steam Hit CloverPit Is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 With Mouse Controls

CloverPit Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions will launch on August 13, 2026. The game brings its unsettling mix of roguelite strategy and psychological horror to Nintendo consoles. Developer Panik Arcade and publisher Future Friends Games have confirmed the release date for both editions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will take advantage of the newer hardware with improved performance and optional mouse controls. Players will be able to use the Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality while interacting with the slot machine, ATM and other objects inside the game’s claustrophobic room. The original Switch version will contain the same core game without these Switch 2-specific improvements.

CloverPit Uses Debt to Keep Every Run Under Pressure

CloverPit places players inside a rusty cell with only a slot machine and an ATM. Each round introduces a larger debt that must be paid before the deadline. If you fail to earn enough money, the floor opens and the run ends immediately.

Despite its gambling-inspired appearance, CloverPit is not about trusting random results. Instead, players manipulate the machine through charms, modifiers and unusual item combinations. These tools can change symbol values, increase payouts and transform a weak setup into a powerful scoring engine.

The game includes more than 150 charms and synergies. This encourages players to test different combinations during each run. Permanent progression, unlockable abilities, multiple endings and an Endless Mode also provide reasons to return after failure.

The constant financial pressure gives CloverPit a darker identity than most score-focused roguelites. Its uncomfortable atmosphere recalls Balatro’s strategic appeal and the threatening mood of Buckshot Roulette. However, CloverPit builds its own progression system around debt, risk and probability manipulation. The constant financial pressure gives CloverPit a much darker identity than most score-focused roguelites. The Switch 2 Version Includes Mouse Controls

CloverPit originally arrived on PC in September 2025 and quickly became one of the year’s surprise indie successes. Its unusual concept helped the game attract an audience beyond traditional roguelite fans before its move to additional platforms.

The upcoming Nintendo versions will include the updates released for earlier editions. Switch 2 owners will also receive optional mouse support and improved performance, while the standard Switch release offers a portable version of the same main game.

The Unholy Fusion DLC is scheduled to launch alongside the new console ports, but it will be sold separately rather than included with the base game.

CloverPit launches digitally for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13, 2026. The Switch 2 edition is already listed through Nintendo’s digital storefront in supported regions.
