10 NEW Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive Games

The list of Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games is beginning to expand beyond familiar sequels and upgraded versions of older releases. Nintendo’s newer hardware is receiving everything from large role-playing adventures and competitive multiplayer games to cooperative horror, motion-controlled sports and experimental spin-offs.

Some of these titles completely reshape established series, while others introduce new worlds designed specifically around the features of Switch 2. Here are ten new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives that could help define the console over the next few years.

Splatoon Raiders

Splatoon Raiders takes the series away from its usual competitive arenas and builds a broader adventure around exploration, treasure hunting and battles against large groups of enemies.

Players control an Inkling or Octoling known as the Mechanic, who travels to the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut. Familiar ink-based movement remains central to the action. You can cover surfaces, swim quickly through your own ink, avoid attacks and create routes through the environment while fighting waves of Salmonids.

Materials collected during expeditions can be used to build mechanical gadgets and adjust weapons or equipment. Although the main adventure focuses on solo progression, the game also supports raids for up to four players through local wireless or online play.

Rather than abandoning Splatoon’s identity, Raiders uses its movement and shooting systems as the foundation for a more exploration-driven structure filled with upgrades, gadgets and repeatable missions.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave follows four heroes who compete in the Heroic Games. The tournament grants its winner a single wish.

Cai enters to rescue his imprisoned father. Queen Theodora seeks the strength to protect her people. Leda fights for revenge, while Dietrich hopes to find an opponent worthy of his abilities.

Choosing a protagonist changes more than the leader of your army. It also determines where the story begins and how you experience the tournament.

Between battles, players must decide how to use their limited time. They can train, recruit new warriors, explore dungeons or join conflicts outside the city. Each activity may provide an advantage, but players cannot complete everything.

These choices make preparation an important part of the strategy. The decisions you make before a match can shape the weaknesses your army carries into the next arena battle.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings motion-controlled competition to a much larger holiday destination based around Wuhu Island.

Returning activities such as tennis, bowling, volleyball, basketball and golf are joined by boxing, archery, table tennis, skateboarding, powerboating, air sports and finger wrestling. Each event uses the Joy-Con 2 controllers differently rather than relying on the same basic swinging motion.

Boxing requires players to punch and defend, while archery introduces aiming and wind conditions. The controller can be held like handlebars when operating a powerboat or tilted to steer an aircraft. Skateboarding also makes use of the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls when moving through its courses.

The game supports solo play, local multiplayer for up to four people and online competition. With twelve sports using noticeably different control styles, it feels less like a small minigame package and more like a full party-sports collection built around the capabilities of Switch 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being rebuilt for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing one of the Nintendo 64’s most influential adventures to a new generation.

The story follows a young Link who grows up in Kokiri Forest without a fairy of his own. After being summoned by the Great Deku Tree, he becomes involved in a struggle against Ganondorf that stretches across two different periods in Hyrule’s history.

The original game allowed players to move between child and adult versions of Link, use ocarina melodies to influence time and the environment, and return to previously inaccessible areas after obtaining new equipment. Its targeting system, interconnected dungeons and time-travel structure became important foundations for later 3D action-adventure games.

Nintendo has so far shown the redesigned child Link and the remake’s new visual direction. Details about combat, camera controls, dungeon changes and additional content have not yet been revealed, making this one of the most mysterious Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games currently announced.

The Duskbloods

The Duskbloods is an online PvPvE action game in which up to eight players compete against one another while surviving the hostile creatures occupying each battlefield.

Players choose from more than a dozen Bloodsworn, warriors who have gained superhuman abilities through special blood. Every character carries a different combination of weapons, ranged attacks and supernatural powers. Advanced movement options, including double jumps and enormous leaps, also make combat considerably faster and more mobile than the encounters found in FromSoftware’s traditional action RPGs.

Many matches revolve around becoming the final surviving player, but the rules can change during a round. Certain events may temporarily push everyone towards the same powerful boss, while unusual enemies, new objectives and alternative rewards can appear without warning.

Victory is not based entirely on defeating rivals. Players can avoid unnecessary confrontations, complete personal objectives and gather Victory Points, creating room for more cautious or opportunistic strategies.

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is an asymmetric horror game that separates two players and gives each of them a different view of the same terrifying situation.

One player explores the interior of a haunted house filled with dark rooms, unexplained events and an unseen presence moving through the shadows. The second player observes the situation from another perspective and must use the information available to guide their partner towards safety.

Neither side can fully understand the house alone. Recognising its layout, anticipating danger and finding an escape route all require continuous communication. A clear warning may prevent an attack, while one misunderstood direction can send the player inside directly towards the threat.

The game therefore creates tension through more than its environment. Fear also comes from uncertainty over whether your partner has correctly interpreted what they can see. There are no heroic weapons or convenient backup plans here. Your most important survival tool is another person’s voice—and hopefully that person is better at directions than the average satnav.

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves take the series into a new open world. The region is formed by windswept islands and a vast surrounding ocean.

Players will explore forests, caves and rocky coastlines. Other connected environments will also be part of the journey. Each area is home to Pokémon that have adapted to local conditions. The announcement places more focus on natural habitats and ecosystems. This suggests that location may become more important during exploration. Different Pokémon could appear depending on the environment.

The three starters are the Grass-type Browt, Fire-type Pombon and Water-type Gecqua. The first footage also shows that the sea will play a major role. Travelling between islands appears to be an important part of the adventure. However, the exact travel system has not yet been explained. The protagonist will wear different clothing in each version. Both games will also feature a special Pikachu character. Pokémon Winds includes Mr. Windychu, while Pokémon Waves features Ms. Wavychu. Their roles in the story remain unknown.

Both versions are planned exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet

Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet moves beyond the short PvP matches of the original game. This time, the series enters a large open world filled with missions, dungeons and enormous bosses.

After breaking a forbidden seal, the protagonist is sent to an unknown planet. The main goal is to find a way back to Earth. Different regions can be explored freely. Familiar abilities such as Gum Boost and Gum Balloon also return.

A new Gum Hook makes movement faster and more flexible. Players can attach to distant surfaces, cross wide gaps and reach higher areas with ease.

Combat still features unusual weapons such as katanas, hammers and rockets. New systems also add more depth to progression. Players can improve weapon properties, gather crafting materials and prepare meals.

The full adventure can be completed alone. However, up to four players can also form a team locally or online. Groups can enter dungeons and coordinate attacks against giant enemies. This turns Ninjala’s colourful combat into a much larger cooperative action game.

Orbitals

Orbitals is a two-player science-fiction adventure designed around characters who possess different tools and information.

Players control Maki and Omura as they leave their damaged space station and travel beyond a supernatural cosmic storm in search of help. Their journey includes steering a ship through asteroid fields, exploring abandoned stations and solving puzzles that require intervention from two separate locations.

One player may need to unlock a route while the other crosses moving platforms, disables a hazard or communicates a clue visible only on their side of the screen. Progress depends less on pressing matching switches and more on combining two incomplete pieces of information at the correct moment.

Orbitals supports local split-screen, online multiplayer and GameShare, allowing the cooperative adventure to be shared without requiring both players to own a complete copy. Handcrafted cinematics, exaggerated animation and a retro-anime presentation make the game resemble a playable episode of an old science-fiction series.

Xenoblade Genesis

Xenoblade Genesis is taking the RPG series into a new era. It introduces new characters and a world not previously seen in the franchise.

The first trailer shows enormous plains, towering rock formations and large settlements. Gigantic creatures also wander across the open environments. Some characters appear to travel between regions using mount-like vehicles. The distant landscapes suggest that exploration and scale will remain central to the adventure.

Nintendo describes Genesis as a new beginning for Xenoblade. However, few details have been confirmed so far. Its connection to earlier games is still unknown. The combat system, playable party and main story also remain undisclosed.

For now, the biggest attraction is its world design. Xenoblade’s huge environments are being created specifically for Switch 2. They are not simply being adapted around older Nintendo hardware. Until more details arrive, the trailer reveals much more about the world than the actual gameplay.

A Stronger Exclusive Lineup for Nintendo Switch 2

These upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games offer much more than hardware upgrades and familiar sequels.

Splatoon Raiders and Ninjala 2 are turning multiplayer-focused series into larger adventures. The Duskbloods brings FromSoftware into competitive PvPvE action. Orbitals and Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch use cooperation in very different ways.

Pokémon Winds and Waves, Xenoblade Genesis and the Ocarina of Time remake could become major releases. Each one may help give Switch 2 the large exclusives expected from a new Nintendo generation.

Some games still have many unanswered questions. Even so, the variety is already clear. Switch 2 is slowly building an exclusive library that reaches far beyond its launch period.
