Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has brought Edward Kenway’s adventure back with rebuilt visuals, updated combat and several gameplay changes. However, Nintendo Switch 2 is missing from the release list.
The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Ubisoft has not announced a Switch 2 version, and the absence does not appear to be a simple launch delay.
Ubisoft Has No Switch 2 Version Planned

The clearest information came from the update notes for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft explained that Black Flag Resynced crossover content would not be available on Switch 2 because the remake was not being released on Nintendo’s platform.
The official product page also lists only PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. There is no Switch 2 release window or mention of a later port.
Ubisoft has not explained why the console was excluded. There is no official statement blaming performance, storage limits or cartridge costs. Any technical reason would therefore be speculation.
The decision is still surprising because Assassin’s Creed Shadows was successfully brought to Switch 2. This suggests that the console is capable of running modern Assassin’s Creed games, although each port requires separate development and optimization.
Could It Still Arrive Later?
A future Switch 2 version is not impossible, but there is currently no evidence that one is being developed. No age rating, retailer listing or reliable leak has appeared.
Nintendo players can still play the original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag through Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection. The collection works on Switch 2 through backward compatibility, but it does not include the visual and gameplay upgrades found in Resynced.
For now, Black Flag Resynced is skipping Nintendo Switch 2. That could change if Ubisoft revises its plans, but players should not expect a port unless the company makes an official announcement.
