Two Point Museum has received a free Cult of the Lamb crossover update, and it goes much further than adding a few themed decorations. The new content introduces a small cult-management layer built around followers, Devotion, rituals and new expedition rewards.
The update is available across supported platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2.
A New Cult to Build Inside the Museum
The crossover is tied to the Digiverse system. Players can send expedition teams into a new Cult of the Lamb-themed Rift, where several new Points of Interest can be discovered.
These expeditions lead to familiar locations inspired by areas such as Darkwood, Anura and Silk Cradle. They also unlock new themed exhibits and resources that can be brought back to the museum.
The biggest change begins with the Shrine. Once built in the Workshop, it allows visitors to generate Devotion and opens a separate Cult Rewards progression tree.
Visitors can gradually become followers of the museum’s cult. More devoted followers can provide additional Devotion, donations and Museum Buzz, giving the crossover a direct connection to the normal management loop.
Staff Can Join the Cult Too
Visitors are not the only ones who can become involved.
Museum employees can be trained in Cult of the Museum, increasing their loyalty to the organisation. Higher loyalty can even reduce their salary expectations, which is probably one of the most Two Point ways possible to introduce religious devotion into workplace management.
Devotion can then be spent on new rewards, including decorations, exhibit improvements and additional cult-related structures.
Among the larger unlocks are the Drum Circle, Offering Statue and Temple.
Rituals Add New Management Bonuses
Building the Temple opens another part of the crossover: rituals.
Players can spend Devotion to perform rituals that grant temporary bonuses, or Boons, to the museum. This gives the Cult of the Lamb content its own progression loop rather than leaving it as a purely visual collaboration.
There is also a special Lamb exhibit that can move around the museum, adding another recognizable part of the crossover to normal visitor areas.
More Than a Cosmetic Crossover
Two Point Museum has already used the Digiverse to bring other games into its management formula, including a previous collaboration with Dave the Diver.
The Cult of the Lamb update goes further by turning its theme into actual management mechanics. Followers, Devotion, staff loyalty and rituals now connect directly with the museum’s existing systems.
The update also brings general fixes, improvements and optimisation changes alongside the new crossover content.
For players already running a museum, the free update gives them another reason to return. More importantly, the Digiverse now shows how future collaborations can affect museum management instead of simply adding crossover items.
