ARIA BLUE I. Natsuoto has been announced for Nintendo Switch, introducing a new coming-of-age fantasy visual novel from Entergram and RICOL. The game is the first entry in the newly revealed ARIA BLUE series, which will tell a larger story across several connected installments.
The story takes place in Hakuri Town, a quiet northern community surrounded by nature. It follows Yuma Tateyama, a young man who moves to the area while searching for the sister he became separated from years earlier.
After arriving, Yuma begins living in a student dormitory and meets several other young people carrying their own regrets. His search eventually leads him toward a mysterious school building near a lake and a reunion that does not go the way he expects.
One Summer, Several Different Perspectives
ARIA BLUE is being developed as a connected series rather than a single standalone story. The complete narrative follows nine boys and girls during the same summer.
Each installment will focus on one protagonist and two heroines. Their individual stories will take place during the same period, gradually revealing different sides of the wider mystery.
The first game centers on Yuma Tateyama, Raika Suzueda and Orine Mizugahara. According to the developers, the series will explore characters who have become stuck because of past wounds or regrets and how their encounters help them move forward again.
Character design and original artwork are being handled by Ashima and Netsuki, while Hamu is responsible for the music. RICOL is overseeing the creative direction, with Entergram and RICOL handling development and publishing.
ARIA BLUE I. Natsuoto is currently scheduled to launch in Japan for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC on January 28, 2027. A North American or wider Western release has not been announced at this time.
