Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is celebrating its second anniversary with a small but welcome free update. The latest patch adds fresh cosmetic content while also making a visual adjustment to the Nintendo Switch version.
The biggest new addition is the Party Dress outfit for Juliet. It gives her a completely different look from the game’s usual costumes and can be used during normal play.
Players also get a new anniversary photo frame. It is a minor extra, but it fits well with the game’s photo mode and gives fans another reason to experiment with Juliet’s new outfit.
The Switch Version Gets an Extra Improvement
Nintendo Switch players receive one additional change in this update. Dragami Games has adjusted the game’s lighting on Switch. The studio has not explained exactly what was changed, so there is no detailed comparison yet. Still, it is notable that the older Nintendo version continues to receive platform-specific attention.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is also available on Nintendo Switch 2. The newer system has become another home for the remaster, while updates continue to support the game across Nintendo hardware.
The Timing Is More Interesting Than the Update Itself
The anniversary patch is fairly modest, but it arrives just before the series returns to the spotlight in a much bigger way. A new Lollipop Chainsaw title is set to appear at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Visitors will be able to try the game at the SEGA/ATLUS booth, giving fans their first hands-on opportunity with the next entry.
A separate stage presentation is also planned for September 19. More information about the new game is expected around the event, which makes the timing of RePOP’s anniversary update feel less random. For existing players, the new costume and photo frame are simple additions rather than a major content drop. However, with another Lollipop Chainsaw game now moving closer to a public reveal, the update works as a timely reminder that the series is far from finished.
