PLATONICA SPACE Is Now Available on Nintendo Switch

PLATONICA SPACE has launched on Nintendo Switch, bringing its unusual sci-fi mystery to Nintendo players. Developed by Kazuhide Oka and published by KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO, the game builds its story around lost memories, strange rooms and a group of people who cannot fully trust what they remember.

The story takes place around 100 years after Earth became uninhabitable. Humanity has spread across different planets, but the player wakes up somewhere far more mysterious. With no memory of who they are, they find themselves trapped inside a strange series of connected rooms with no obvious way out.

Lost Memories Are at the Center of the Mystery

The player is not alone. Other people trapped inside the facility have also lost their memories, and each person is trying to understand why they are there.

Exploration eventually reveals that the rooms are connected to memories from the past. Players search for memory spots and examine objects found throughout each area. Some objects must then be placed in the correct locations to reconstruct what happened.

The problem is that finding a memory does not automatically reveal who it belongs to.

Some recovered scenes involve serious events, including a woman being shot and another person attempting to travel under a false identity. Players have to examine these fragments carefully and work out which character experienced each event.

That uncertainty gives PLATONICA SPACE much of its tension. The people around you can provide information, but their version of events may not always tell the full story.

Exploration Changes as You Progress

PLATONICA SPACE does not simply move players through a fixed sequence of story scenes. Its rooms and exploration areas can change, giving the investigation a less predictable structure.

Each new location can contain additional clues about the characters, their relationships and the events that brought them together. As more memories return, the mystery gradually shifts from simply escaping the rooms to understanding what actually happened before everyone lost their memories.

The game mixes environmental exploration with narrative deduction rather than relying entirely on dialogue. Players need to connect objects, memories and character information themselves if they want to uncover the truth.

PLATONICA SPACE Comes to Switch After Its PC Release

PLATONICA SPACE first arrived on PC earlier this month and is now available on Nintendo Switch.

The Switch release also supports English, making the game accessible to players outside Japan. For anyone interested in story-heavy sci-fi games with mystery and investigation at the center, PLATONICA SPACE offers a noticeably different setup from a traditional visual novel.
