Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has received a new Bloody Tears trailer, giving us another look at Rose Belmont’s combat, exploration and some of the bosses waiting for her.
KONAMI released the footage during its latest PRESS START presentation. The trailer arrives ahead of the game’s October 15 launch on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.
Rose Belmont Takes the Spotlight
The new Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse trailer puts Rose Belmont at the center of the action. Several sections show how her whip can be used beyond normal attacks. Rose can use it to move through parts of the environment, giving exploration a more active feel than simply running between platforms.
Combat also gets plenty of attention. Rose is shown using different skills against regular enemies before facing much larger creatures. Several boss encounters appear throughout the trailer, although KONAMI has kept many of their details under wraps. The footage is accompanied by a new arrangement of Bloody Tears, one of the most recognizable tracks in Castlevania history.
There are smaller references for longtime fans as well. One sequence near the end shows Rose climbing a long staircase, a visual that should feel very familiar to anyone who has spent time with earlier Castlevania games.
A New Chapter in the Belmont Story
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse takes place in Paris in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Rose Belmont is the daughter of Trevor Belmont, who previously defeated Dracula alongside his allies. This time, Rose must fight through streets overrun by monsters while uncovering the events surrounding Dracula’s latest return.
The game follows the exploration-focused 2D structure associated with later entries in the series. KONAMI describes the combat and movement as faster and more fluid, with Rose gaining access to different weapons and abilities as the adventure develops.
Development is being handled by KONAMI alongside Evil Empire and Motion Twin. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse launches for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 15, 2026.
