FURYU has released a new system trailer for ANOMALITH Switch 2, giving a much clearer look at how exploration, combat and character progression will work in the upcoming survival TPS.
Rather than focusing only on gunfights, the trailer presents the game as a training video for new Divers entering dangerous Anomaly Zones. Players will need to search these unstable areas, recover unusual objects and gather information about the creatures living inside them.
Exploring Anomaly Zones
One of the main tools available during exploration is a scanner. It can reveal nearby anomalies and unusual objects, making careful investigation an important part of each expedition.
The environments themselves will not always follow normal rules. FURYU has previously shown apartment blocks affected by reversed gravity, distorted corridors and shopping streets that appear to multiply. Supplies recovered during these trips can be brought back to the base and used for later missions.
Combat also requires some preparation. Different anomalies can call for different firearms and ammunition, so carrying the right equipment may be just as important as landing your shots. Weapons can be customized with attachments, while ammunition and other supplies need to be managed before heading back into an Anomaly Zone.
Reona Has More Than Guns
Protagonist Reona Minazuki has access to 12 unique Anomalization Skills. These abilities can support regular gunplay or become powerful options when a situation starts getting out of control.
Defeating anomalies can also reward players with Artifacts. These can improve Reona’s stats and add another layer to character preparation alongside weapon customization and equipment choices.
ANOMALITH follows 17-year-old Reona after her friend disappears inside one of the mysterious Anomaly Zones appearing across Japan. She joins the government-backed Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office and begins entering these areas herself while trying to uncover what happened to her friend and why the zones exist.
ANOMALITH is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC. The Japanese release is scheduled for October 29, 2026, while Nintendo currently lists the North American Switch 2 version for October 28.
