Stellar Blade Complete Edition is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2026, and SHIFT UP has now released a new trailer showing the action RPG running on Nintendo’s latest hardware.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version puts players back in control of EVE, a member of an airborne squad sent to Earth after humanity was forced to retreat to a space colony. Her mission quickly develops into a much larger fight against the Naytiba, the creatures now dominating the planet.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition brings the full game to Switch 2
As the name suggests, Stellar Blade Complete Edition packages the main game together with the additional content released after launch. The original version arrived on PlayStation 5 in 2024 before expanding to PC in 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 will now become the third platform to receive the game.
The new trailer focuses heavily on combat. EVE moves between fast melee attacks, dodges, counters and larger encounters against the Naytiba. Character progression also allows players to adjust skills, equipment and combat builds, giving boss fights more room for different approaches.
SHIFT UP says the new version has been optimized around Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. The company has not yet shared detailed performance targets, so resolution and frame rate information remain unknown.
Joy-Con 2 motion controls are included
Nintendo Switch 2 players will also get support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls, although they will not replace the standard combat controls.
Instead, SHIFT UP says motion controls will be available during activities outside combat. Exactly which activities will use the feature has not been detailed yet, but it gives the Switch 2 release at least one platform-specific addition beyond simply bringing the existing game across.
The newly released trailer is accompanied by fresh key art created for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition is currently planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in the second half of 2026. SHIFT UP has not announced an exact release date or price yet.
